APDMC Dmat exam has been postponed again. Exam was rescheduled on 12 July but after Supreme Court order and due to MP VYAPAM Case exam has been postponed again. New exam date is yet to be declared by board. Exam may be held on 26 July again if everything goes right.
The association was set to hold entrance examinations at 23 centres, including those outside Madhya Pradesh, for admitting students to nearly 1,200 seats in medical and dental courses. After the Supreme Court order, 15 per cent seats are reserved for NRI quota and the remaining seats are split between management quota and government quota.
This year, the examination was originally scheduled for June 21. After getting reports that things have not changed despite the investigation into the Vyapam scam, former legislator Paras Saklecha moved the High Court seeking cancellation of the entrance examination because candidates could apply till the last moment. After the petition, the APDMC postponed the entrance test to July 12. On Thursday, a division bench of the High Court noted that the entrance examination had come under a cloud and told the association to install scanners at the examination centres. The court asked that the scanned copies of the OMR sheets be kept with different authorities, including the Principal Secretary (Home), and they should be matched with the original sheets before declaration of results.
